Cauda Equina Syndrome is a surgical emergency and decompression surgery should be performed within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms, on the basis that the longer the nerves are compressed, the more likely that the symptoms will progress and become permanent.

What happens next?

If you, or someone you know has suffered a delay in diagnosis or treatment of Cauda Equina Syndrome, then it might be possible to recover damages as a result of effects that could have been avoided.
